In 2000, the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge established an umbrella fund with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF) that allows new and existing trusts and endowment funds to be housed at BRAF. As partners in giving, BRAF administers the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Baton Rouge Fund. Under this umbrella, parishioners can plan their giving to the Diocese of Baton Rouge, Catholic Churches and organizations, and other charitable interests. Since the establishment of the fund, several sub funds have been set up under its umbrella.
Contributing to an existing fund or creating and administering a new fund is simple and quick, requiring minimal paperwork. Funds placed within the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Baton Rouge are secure and can never be seized. We ensure that your interests are served and your legacy preserved.
During the process of opening a fund, or contributing to an existing fund, you will work closely with an Office of Stewardship staff member who will guide you, step-by-step, and help you make the most of your contributions. Gifts can include cash, securities, or real estate.
